How to Use Flakka Test Strips
The Flakka Test strips, similar to most Single Panel test strips work by being submerged into a urine specimen to reveal a test result. You can determine the results by visually comparing the color blocks that have reacted on the test strip with the color blocks printed on the canister. (See Diagram)
Test Instructions:
- Before you start testing, ensure that the strip, urine sample, and any controls have acclimatized to room temperature, which should ideally be between 15-30ºC.
- Take out the strip from its sealed container and use it promptly. After you’ve taken out the necessary number of strips, make sure to secure the canister tightly.
- Submerge the reagent sections of the strip fully in a urine sample that’s been thoroughly mixed. After immersion, the strip should be promptly removed from the urine sample to prevent the reagents from dissolving. Refer to the illustration for further guidance.
- Now, keep the strip flat and without delay, touch an absorbent material like a paper towel with the edge of the strip. This step prevents the mixing of chemicals from adjacent reagent sections and also prevents urine from getting onto your hands. Please refer to the illustration for more clarity.
- Wait for a minute and then compare the reagent areas with the color blocks printed on the label of the canister. Make sure to hold the strip near to the color blocks for accurate matching. Avoid interpreting results if more than 4 minutes have passed.
